Peaceful fish
White Bream (Silver Bream)

White bream (silver bream) is a smaller bream relative with silvery scales and reddish fins. Reaches weights of 1 kg.

Feeds on bloodworm, worms, small mollusks, and algae. Diet resembles bream but includes more plant material.

Most active at 12–22 °C. Feeds throughout the warm season. Less weather-dependent than bream. Bites well even in overcast conditions.

Holds in large shoals at moderate depths. Often found alongside bream and roach. Prefers areas with slow current.

Caught on bloodworm, maggots, red worm, and pearl barley. Float and feeder. Fine tackle improves bite rates.

Larger white bream (500+ g) are more common in rivers with moderate flow. Fish the drop-off or lower slope. Bloodworm is the most effective bait for bigger specimens.
