What is a fishing session?
A fishing session is the record of a single trip on the water, from the moment you arrive to the moment you pack up. In BeAngler you tap start on the bank and the app captures the time, your location and the current weather automatically. From then on, everything you do during the trip - the swims you fish, the casts you make, the bait you introduce and the fish you land - is logged in one place, in real time, instead of being reconstructed from memory afterwards.
Live tracking on the water
During the session you drop points for your swims and mark casting and feeding spots. Each cast and each feeding portion is logged, and a recaster reminder nudges you when it is time to freshen the bait or recast. Depth, bottom type and vegetation for a spot can be saved too, so a productive area is never a vague memory next time.
Catches that flow into your log
When a fish comes in, you add it to the active session - species, weight, length, bait and rig - and it lands straight in your catch log with the weather and location already attached. There is no double entry: the catch you record on the bank is the catch you analyse at home.
Run a tactic step by step
Attach a tactic to the session and execute it point by point while you fish - a spot, a bait, a cast, a wait, a bite check. If a step works you move on; if it doesn't, you change the swim. Every completed step feeds your stats, so the next session is sharper than the last.
Plan, start, finish
A session has a simple life cycle: plan it in the planner, start it on the bank, and finish it when you pack up - or reschedule a missed one. The whole thing works offline, syncing automatically once you are back in coverage.
